The Heart Behind Her Tennis Tribe

About a year ago, I got a phone call that stopped me in my tracks. It pushed me to pause, reflect, and reevaluate what tennis truly means to me. Out of that moment, Her Tennis Tribe was born - a league created to uplift and celebrate women’s tennis, especially singles play.

What started as an idea quickly turned into something real when 15 incredible women stepped up and said yes. This league wouldn’t exist without that phone call - and it certainly wouldn’t have taken off without these amazing women.

Her Tennis Tribe is here to help keep singles tennis alive. More and more women are choosing doubles these days, but there’s something special about singles that only a few of us feel truly called to. Singles make us come alive - there’s a spark when we step on the court, when the ball is coming straight at us and only us. We have to chase it down, reach for it, get it - because no one else will.

Out there, we’re fully in charge. There’s no one to blame when we lose a point and no one to credit when we win one. It’s all on us - our effort, our grit, our joy - earned through hard work both on and off the court.
